As the presence of Asian, particularly Chinese, young artists continue to shine on the international stage, the art world is increasingly turning its attention to this rising group. To further elevate the recognition and prominence of Asian young artists in the global cultural and artistic arena, the UK Tsinghua Association (UKTA) will host the inaugural Tsinghua Alumni London Art Exhibition in the fourth quarter of 2024 in London, UK. The theme of the exhibition is “Ubiquitous Technology: The Science of Aesthetics.”
A special thanks to Ms. Nancy Zetian Zhang and JD.com for their strong support of this event!
Through this art exhibition, UKTA aims to create a platform that serves as a bridge for Asian young artists to showcase their talents, exchange ideas, and spark inspiration. We encourage young artists to actively display their exceptional works and join us in highlighting the unique style and avant-garde vision of the new generation of Asian artists, thereby enhancing the influence and appeal of the Asian community on the international art stage!
At the same time, we believe that diverse thoughts and multidimensional cultures can create even more vibrant sparks. Therefore, this art exhibition is also open to artists who are not Tsinghua alumni! We welcome more artists to submit their works and participate actively, joining hands to create this dazzling artistic feast.
In conjunction with the art exhibition, we will also offer a series of related activities. To foster communication and collaboration among artists, curators, collectors, and art enthusiasts, we will host a series of art salons. To nurture and inspire future artists and to provide children with more opportunities to discover and appreciate beauty, we will also organise art education day themed events. Please stay tuned!
So far, we have received numerous art submissions from different regions around the world. Young artists will showcase their unique and cutting-edge creativity and talent through various forms of art, including photography, sculpture, painting, installation art, and multimedia imagery at this exhibition.
The exhibition has also received active participation and support from renowned artists in the industry. For instance, Mr Wang Zhigang, a recipient of the Tsinghua University Wu Guanzhong Award for Art and Science Innovation, and the London-based artist couple Rob and Nick Carter, who explore the boundaries between analogue and digital through various media, will present their outstanding works at the exhibition.
Submissions are still being accepted but will soon close. Talented and creative artists, we sincerely look forward to receiving your entries!
The submission deadline is 23:59 London time on 10th August.
