《全球时事与人工智能》圆桌研讨会 2024

首届《全球时事与人工智能》圆桌研讨会即将于2024年2月16日晚开幕。这个夜晚,对全球事务、人工智能和跨全球合作的未来感兴趣的英才们将齐聚伦敦,展开一场前所未有、发人深省的讨论。

当晚,皇家国际事务研究所 (Chatham House) 杰出研究员、前所长兼首席执行官Robin Niblett爵士将发表主题演讲,随后各位与会学者和嘉宾将进行关于人工智能伦理与治理的小组讨论。

学者及嘉宾介绍

Robin Niblett 爵士

Sir Robin is a distinguished fellow at Chatham House after spending 15 years as its director and chief executive until 2022. He is also a distinguished fellow of the Asia Society Policy Institute and senior adviser to the Center for Strategic & International Studies (CSIS) in Washington DC. He is also principal of Ledwell Advisory, a risk advisory company. Robin is recognized as a leading expert on the relations between Europe, the US, and Asia and their implications for risk management by governments and private institutions. Robin’s book “The New Cold War: How the Contest Between the US and China Will Shape Our Century” is coming out in March.

戎珂 Ke Rong

Professor Ke Rong currently serves as a consultant of the UKTA and the Deputy Director at the Institute of Economics, School of Social Sciences, Tsinghua University, China. He earned his Ph.D. from the University of Cambridge after completing his bachelor’s degree at Tsinghua University. Prof. Ke Rong is also a visiting scholar at the University of Cambridge and Harvard University. His primary research interests include the internationalization of Business and Innovation Ecosystems, Digital Economy, and Data Ecosystems. He has authored over 70 peer-reviewed articles in esteemed journals such as the Journal of International Business Studies (UTD24), Production and Operations Management (UTD24), Management and Organization Review, and the Journal of International Management. He has also been the Principal Investigator for more than 20 research projects funded by the National Science Foundation of China, the British Academy, and leading companies like Huawei, Bytedance, Haier, Tencent, and China Mobile. These projects have investigated business ecosystems and platform strategies across various emerging industries on a global scale, including the digital economy, integrated chips, data markets, 3D printing, electric vehicles, mobile internet, and the sharing economy. In recognition of his academic achievements, Professor Rong has received several awards, such as being named a Distinguished Young Scholar under the prestigious Changjiang Scholars Programme of China’s Ministry of Education and earning the Highly Cited Chinese Researchers distinction from Elsevier in 2021. He also holds the position of Editor-in-Chief for the Journal of Digital Economy and serves on the editorial boards of leading journals like Journal of International Business Studies, Journal of International Business Policy, Management and Organization Review, and Long Range Planning. Additionally, Prof. Rong is a member of one of China’s top think tanks, providing policy advice to the central government, and is part of the Expert Network of the World Economic Forum.

Yves-Alexandre de Montjoye

Yves-Alexandre de Montjoye is an Associate Professor at Imperial College London. He currently is a Special Adviser on AI and Data Protection to EC Justice Commissioner Reynders and a Parliament-appointed expert to the Belgian Data Protection Agency (APD-GBA). In 2018-2019, he was a Special Adviser to EC Competition Commissioner Vestager co-authoring the Competition Policy for the Digital Era report. His research has been published in Science and Nature Communications and has enjoyed wide media coverage (BBC, CNN, New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Harvard Business Review, etc.). His work on the shortcomings of anonymization has appeared in reports of the World Economic Forum, FTC, the European Commission, and the OECD. Yves-Alexandre worked for the Boston Consulting Group and acted as an expert for both the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and the United Nations. He received his PhD from MIT in 2015 and obtained, over a period of 6 years, an M.Sc. from UCLouvain in Applied Mathematics, an M.Sc. (Centralien) from École Centrale Paris, an M.Sc. from KULeuven in Mathematical Engineering as well as his B.Sc. in engineering from UCLouvain.

高远 Yuan Gao

Dr. Yuan Gao is currently working as a Sales of FICC (Vice President) of China International Capital Corporation (UK)  in London.  Before joining CICC, Yuan was a Vice President in Group Asset Management of Swiss Re, where she worked as an experienced Quantitative Analyst in both liquid and illiquid interest rates products. She has been instrumental for a number of successful projects on Strategic Asset Allocation (SAA) and Tactical Asset Allocation (TAA), Private Debt, Direct Real Estate as well as initialising collaboration with key decision makers of investments in Swiss Re. 

Yuan holds a PhD and MSc in Engineering from Newcastle University in the UK specialising in mathematical modelling of combustion process and Bachelor degree in Automation from Tsinghua University, China. She also holds an MBA from Quantic School of Business and Technology from the US. Yuan is a Freeman of the City of London and Professional Risk Management (PRM) charter holder. Currently, Yuan serves as the Secretary General and Vice Chairwoman of the UK Tsinghua Association.

Sarah Fischer

Sarah is a Global Outreach Associate at Schwarzman Scholars, a fully funded master’s degree in Global Affairs at Tsinghua University in Beijing. Sarah has worked in international higher education for over ten years as various prestigious universities in the United States. Passionate about global education, she completed her masters at Columbia University in International Education Development, where she did qualitative and quantitative research in Chinese Education Reform.

谢成锴 Chengkai Xie

Chengkai is a Schwarzman Academy Fellow at Chatham House, where he researches the geopolitical implications of energy transition. As a Schwarzman Scholar, he carried out comparative research on the UK and China’s clean energy policy, especially in the phase-out of coal, during his time at Tsinghua University. With experience in the UK Parliament, the British Chamber of Commerce in Beijing, and the UK National Committee on China, Chengkai has a professional interest in UK-China bilateral relations. Chengkai also served as the first Chinese-born President of the Oxford Union.

张园 Yuan Zhang

Yuan Zhang is a Rhodes Scholar, Schwarzman Scholar and a PhD candidate in Anthropology at the University of Oxford, focusing on infrastructure, environment and religion. She holds a Master’s in Global Affairs and a Bachelor’s in Architecture from Tsinghua. Her research examines rural infrastructural transformations and religious encounters in China.

Sihao Huang

Sihao Huang is a 2023 Marshall Scholar and a Technology and Security Policy Fellow at RAND, where he currently working with the UK AI Safety Institute on international strategy and special projects. He spent the 2022-2023 academic year as a Schwarzman Scholar studying semiconductor policy and US-China issues in Beijing. He has a background in complexity science. His research interests there focused on the role of nested evolution and feedback in political systems.  He did his undergraduate at MIT in Physics and Electrical Engineering. In his past life, he built superconducting quantum computers and biological neural networks. He was also the CEO of Aphelion Orbitals, where they made nanosatellites and space propulsion systems.
