Johan brings a blend of technical and policy expertise, shaped by his roles in both government and industry. As Vice-President of Strategic Advisory at Silo AI, Europe’s largest private AI lab, he led European engagements for large corporations on sovereign LLMs, safety-critical AI systems, and company-wide upskilling programs. Earlier, as Sweden’s government AI lead, he authored the country’s AI strategy, action plan, and championed EU-level cooperation on regulation and responsible AI.
At TBI, Johan focuses on leveraging AI in sectors such as healthcare, climate resilience, education, and government services. Drawing on TBI’s presence across more than 40 countries, he guides governments from AI vision to nationwide roll-out—tracking impact through citizen welfare, GDP gains, and strengthened digital sovereignty.
