Moderator:

• Dr. Yuan Gao: Dr. Yuan Gao is the Founder & CEO of Pangura, a spinoff from N0S.Tech, which is an artificial intelligent firm aimed to navigating complex system challenges in modern era through agent based modelling and chaos theory. She also co-founded N0S.Tech, which is a consolidator of registered investment advisor (RIA) with superior investment return by leveraging the cutting-edge agent based alpha generation solutions provided by Pangura. She has over 10 years’ investment and quantitative trading experiences in the City of London spanning both buy-side and sell-side institutions including Swiss Re, Fidelity and CICC. Dr. Gao has extensive experience with non-profit organizations. She is Vice President of Chinese Association of Financial Executives in the UK, a Freeman of the City of London, Secretary-General of the UK Tsinghua Association, and a founding board member of AGI Odyssey. Dr. Gao earned her Ph.D. degree in Engineering from a collaboration project between Cambridge University and Newcastle University. She also holds a Master’s degree from Newcastle University, an MBA from the U.S. and a Bachelor's degree in Engineering from Tsinghua University.

Speakers:

• Prof. Xiaolan Fu: Professor of Technology and International Development, Fellow of Green Templeton College, University of Oxford. Xiaolan Fu specializes in innovation, technology, and industrialization; trade, foreign direct investment, and economic development; emerging Asian economies; and UK/US innovation and productivity. Professor Fu has consulted for numerous international organizations and governmental bodies, including UNDESA, UNCTAD, UNIDO, ILO, the Commonwealth Secretariat, UKTI, and the Chinese government. She is a member of the Advisory Expert Group of the OECD Global Investment Forum and the DFID/ESRC Economic Growth Directorate (DEGP), and currently holds the position of President of the Chinese Economic Association (Europe).
• Dr. Lewis Liu: (Photo of Dr. Lewis Liu will be included here) Dr. Lewis Liu is the Co-founder and CEO of MatraVolt, a Hong Kong-based deep-tech startup pioneering materials innovation for the future of energy. Previously, Dr. Liu was Managing Director for Greater China at IP Group, a leading UK-headquartered global investor listed on the London Stock Exchange specializing in the commercialization of scientific and technological breakthroughs. He has invested in and served on the boards of many deep-tech ventures, including a semiconductor joint spin-out from Cambridge and Oxford, and a hydrogen fuel cell company originating from UCL and Imperial College. Dr. Liu co-founded CamGaN, a Cambridge spin-out specializing in GaN-on-Si technologies, where he served as CEO and President. The company was later acquired by Plessey Semiconductors. He was formerly the Secretary-General and Vice President of the UK Tsinghua Association and currently serves as an advisor. Dr. Liu holds a Ph.D. in Materials Science from the University of Cambridge and a Bachelor's degree in Materials Science and Engineering from Tsinghua University. In 2024, he was elected to the Young Member Section of the Hong Kong Academy of Engineering.
